Goodbye 2010

Hello to the magic of a new year..
I'm off to the pub with my family.. let the champagne be poured,
and the reflection be painted upon glistening eyes.

So much love from me to you !*!
You'll hear from me in 2011,
love love love love.

merry christmas beautiful people!*

Hi beautiful people. Christmas has passed, but still exists the spirit of lights, shortbread, sparkling eyes, and hearts as open as presents. The joy of the pine tree, the shine of the ornaments, and all that is Christmas still drifts among us.    This year, Christmas was kind to me. I feel so full in my heart, and so wise in my head. Some people whisper the saddest fact in life is waking up on Christmas day, not a child anymore.  I don't believe this to be true. As I age, as we age, Christmas becomes something more. More than presents, and the mystery of Santa, more than big turkey's, and spilliage of wine. Christmas grows into a day where the fireplace is hot, the family is gathered, and the love spills into the air.  I've always been lucky. I've had Christmas in July, April, summer, spring.  Christmas spirits, and white teeth dancing have never been limited to December 25.  The love of my family, the love of giving, the love of lights, all of these things exist everyday.  There may not be a pine tree, or bows upon wrapping paper, or stuffing, or busy malls, or lit-up streets every day...... but there certainly is love....A love that beats through my heart, my palms, and my skull. A love that is fed by a family, and found in my smile.

Merry Christmas, happy living, happy breathing.
Swing through the halls, hug your mum, your dad, your lover.
It is Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air.
Kisses !!

Hello bananas and carrots sitting in my belly. Hello Tuesday.
I want to send my head to sleep, and dream of a place where chains of tropical color bind the trees together, and the days and nights are equally beautiful.  Instead, I sit here, drinking coffee, losing sleep, watching the fireplace grow, wishing I was somewhere warm.   It's winter here, and it will be Christmas morning soon. The spirits of Christmas make me miss the flowers, sunny sky, and blades of grass a little less. It's Tuesday, and my eyes are open. I'm finding comfort in a cotton sweater and a hot cup of lemon water. The air around is filled with holiday spirits. The scents of ginger, cinnamon, and pine welcome the Christmas feelings.

For the outfit details, I'm wearing velvet boots purchased on my birthday from forever 21. I could count the ways forever 21 comforts my shopping habits, but firstly, they have beautiful, eccentric, and daring pieces of fabric, for pocket change. These boots were only $40..  There's only one cause for frown with these beauts.. The velvet collects the dirt and snow. But I can breath with that.

A week has passed since my birthday. How time goes. It's been a week colored with new beginnings and footprints in new places. On Sunday, I spent the entire day in one pub. It began with eggs on toast, a little gin & tonic that brought me glistening eyes, and the night finished with celery sticks. There's so much alive in this world that escapes the eyes of youth. I've spent 17 years away from pub atmospheres, electric lights, and night owls.

If you put your head on my chest, you'll hear heartbeats. In those heart beats you'll find deep roots leading to sparkles, and lively thoughts.  2010 is saying goodbye, and 2011 is dancing on in.  I think 2011 is the year I'll find gold. By January 1st, I'll be wearing nothing but smiling teeth, and squinted eyes(okay okay maybe I'll dress in clothes too)... But I have a deep sense of happiness for the new year.
May 2011 welcome glittering sunbeams even on wintered days.

The prince had a wonderful singing voice.
Usually he'd go out into the forest and sing.

The animals cried, The prince went into heaven. Two angels appeared out of nowhere and said "We will let you back on earth but we will have to make one small change".
Before his eyes, he was back on earth but then he looked at himself, he was covered in feathers!
The angels had turned him into a hummingbird.
And that's how the hummingbird got its hum.

The bent old woman was the oldest woman in that village, possibly the oldest woman in the world.
She was so old she no longer remembered any other way of being. She lived all alone in her little mud hut, for she had neither friend nor family left in this world. She had nowhere to go and no one to talk to. So all day long, she would potter round her hut, first cleaning this corner, now dusting that, now scrubbing this bit of floor, now sweeping that. The bent old woman thought of nothing else any more, except more and more ways of sweeping and scrubbing her little mud hut.

The poor sky began to choke with all the dust that the bent old woman was raising with her broom. The dust got into its throat and tickled its nose and made it sneeze - a great big sneeze that shook the world with its thunder. People covered their heads and ran indoors in fright. But the bent Old Woman barely noticed - she kept on sweeping with her broom.

the boy ran to the shore, but saw only bubbles coming up from the bottom.
directly the boy saw something coming to the surface, and soon it came up into sight. It was a little man, and soon others, by the hundreds, came up and swam about, splashing the water up into the air to a great height. So scared was the boy that he never stopped to gather up his clothes but ran home naked and fell into his grandmother's tent door.

I never heard the name before; but if they do exist I shall find them out.
I am master of all the birds in the world, and have only to blow my whistle and every one will come to me. I shall then ask each of them to tell where it came from, and if there is any way of finding out the Blue Mountains that is it.

Well, there was a great cry outside, and the castle walls were heard splitting and cracking.
Everyone in the castle was alarmed, and made their way out. The prince and princess went with the rest, and by the time all were safe on the lawn, down came the building, and made the ground tremble for miles round. No one ever saw the witch and her daughter afterwards. It was not long till the prince and princess had their children with them, and then they set out for their own palace. The kings of Ireland and of Munster and Ulster, and their wives, soon came to visit them, and may every one that deserves it be as happy as the Brown Bear of Norway and his family.

So Aphrodite had Zephyr, the west wind, come and bring Psyche to Eros.
But Eros could not be seen by Psyche for a little while after their marriage.   When Psyche's sisters visited her, they convinced Psyche that her invisible husband was a monster.  Psyche, curious, brought a candle into her husband's bedchamber and looked at him.  It was Eros, the god of love.  In her shock, Psyche let a drop of candle wax drip from the candle. Eros awoke with a start and became very angry with Psyche.  "Yes, I am love itself, and I cannot live where I am not believed."  Then Eros left.
