welcome to my room.

"He picked up his earth and rolled it very slowly in his big hands then he turned faster and faster until his palms hurt and his head ached. He was so sad that he went to the moon and slept for 4 days."

The prince had a wonderful singing voice.
Usually he'd go out into the forest and sing.

The animals cried, The prince went into heaven. Two angels appeared out of nowhere and said "We will let you back on earth but we will have to make one small change".
Before his eyes, he was back on earth but then he looked at himself, he was covered in feathers!
The angels had turned him into a hummingbird.
And that's how the hummingbird got its hum.

The bent old woman was the oldest woman in that village, possibly the oldest woman in the world.
She was so old she no longer remembered any other way of being. She lived all alone in her little mud hut, for she had neither friend nor family left in this world. She had nowhere to go and no one to talk to. So all day long, she would potter round her hut, first cleaning this corner, now dusting that, now scrubbing this bit of floor, now sweeping that. The bent old woman thought of nothing else any more, except more and more ways of sweeping and scrubbing her little mud hut.

The poor sky began to choke with all the dust that the bent old woman was raising with her broom. The dust got into its throat and tickled its nose and made it sneeze - a great big sneeze that shook the world with its thunder. People covered their heads and ran indoors in fright. But the bent Old Woman barely noticed - she kept on sweeping with her broom.

the boy ran to the shore, but saw only bubbles coming up from the bottom.
directly the boy saw something coming to the surface, and soon it came up into sight. It was a little man, and soon others, by the hundreds, came up and swam about, splashing the water up into the air to a great height. So scared was the boy that he never stopped to gather up his clothes but ran home naked and fell into his grandmother's tent door.

I never heard the name before; but if they do exist I shall find them out.
I am master of all the birds in the world, and have only to blow my whistle and every one will come to me. I shall then ask each of them to tell where it came from, and if there is any way of finding out the Blue Mountains that is it.

Well, there was a great cry outside, and the castle walls were heard splitting and cracking.
Everyone in the castle was alarmed, and made their way out. The prince and princess went with the rest, and by the time all were safe on the lawn, down came the building, and made the ground tremble for miles round. No one ever saw the witch and her daughter afterwards. It was not long till the prince and princess had their children with them, and then they set out for their own palace. The kings of Ireland and of Munster and Ulster, and their wives, soon came to visit them, and may every one that deserves it be as happy as the Brown Bear of Norway and his family.

So Aphrodite had Zephyr, the west wind, come and bring Psyche to Eros.
But Eros could not be seen by Psyche for a little while after their marriage.   When Psyche's sisters visited her, they convinced Psyche that her invisible husband was a monster.  Psyche, curious, brought a candle into her husband's bedchamber and looked at him.  It was Eros, the god of love.  In her shock, Psyche let a drop of candle wax drip from the candle. Eros awoke with a start and became very angry with Psyche.  "Yes, I am love itself, and I cannot live where I am not believed."  Then Eros left.
