We went to a vineyard and it was covered in roses. Happiness happiness happiness.
Vernon, British Columbia
We visited a goat farm where little baby goats were learning how to walk and adult goats were gentle even with their horns. It made me want to have a house on the side of a mountain with my own family of goats.
Vernon, British Columbia
In the heartbeat of the Okanagan, where wildflowers bloom and sway in the summery wind. We hiked the trail, listened for rattlesnakes, admired the landscape and flowers until we reached the bottom where we swam in the lake.

Vernon, British Columbia & Bamberton Campground
I looked at the stream from the shore and
thought I must be dreaming, it wasn't until I stepped into the water
and felt my feet sink into the rocks that I realized it was all real,
very very real.

I may not be able to have my own garden on the road, but the world itself is a garden, there are flowers all around us. A family of hydrangea flowers in downtown Victoria.

Painting our teeth red with local raspberries after visiting the home where my parents used to live. Hiking through the stream.
Victoria, BC & Goldstream Provincial Park
We rented bikes and cruised through the forest until we came upon an ice cream shack. The air was so warm, you could barely taste the cold on top of the cone.

Where we swam – a natural pool of water in the heart of an old growth forest. It felt like a dream to me.

Farewell
to our month long camping adventure. We are home after days and nights
spent eating campfire food, hiking woody trails, swimming in seawater,
scrubbing pots by bare hand, whistling with the wild birds and waking up
in the old growth forest. There are so many stories and photographs to be shared from our trip, but for now I am just
grateful to have a home with a warm bed in it.
I'll be seeing you soon.
